Holiday Whobewhaty?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie The Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. I have watched it maybe like 10 times in the last 2 days. :) I just love it. But I just wanted to update the blog a little. We have been super busy the last few weeks. My dad came home from Afghanistan and we have been spending lots of time at my parents because my dad has to jam in a whole 6 months worth of activities in 4 short weeks. He has also been having as much Hudson and Grandpa J time as he can :) He just loves Hudson. And my dad makes this noise that sounds just like Donald Duck and Hudson just loves it, he smiles and you can tell he is on the verge of laughing. Hudson has been smiling for the past 2 weeks probably, which is just awesome to see. It makes my day when I go get him from his crib and he gets a huge smile on his face. Just amazing. :) Being a mom is beyond rewarding and I am loving every minute of it! :)
We went to my little sister's performance of The Nutcracker a few weekends ago and it was wonderful. It made me miss my ballet days that's for sure. Katie just got put on point (the shoes with the wooden blocks) and I am so proud of her! I remember her trying on my point shoes, and now I am trying hers on! :) My grandma who we call "Mimi" was able to come hang out with the family for a few days so that was great for her to be able to see Hudson. We had a lot of fun going out to eat at Pat's BBQ in Salt Lake, the BBQ place that has been on that show "Diner's, Drive Inn's, and Dive's" It was great BBQ and we will definitely be going again!
Hudson also turned one month old during the last few crazy weeks! I can't believe how fast time is flying and how big he is getting! When I went to my mom's last week so I could see my aunt and uncle and cousin before he left for the MTC I got out the outfit Hudson came home from the hospital in and the pants no longer fit!! But it has been really fun now that he is fitting into all the cute outfits from his cousin Tyler!
My cousin Matthew, Elder Eyring now, has been called to serve in the Boise Idaho mission and we are so proud of him!! I was a little bummed that I wasn't able to go with my family when they went to the Salt Lake temple with him, I kept trying to tell my mom that I could just put Hudson under my temple dress and no would ever notice...but she didn't think I could pull it off. :) But he is going to be a great missionary and the people of Idaho better watch out! :)
This last Sunday we blessed Hudson so that my dad would be here to be in the circle. It was a great day. Jayson did such a wonderful job. He had lost his voice a few days before but Heavenly Father sure did bless him so that we would all be able to hear him for the blessing. I thought it was pretty awesome, Jayson's mom had saved Jayson's blessing outfit and so Hudson was able to be blessed in the same one his dad was blessed in! After the blessing we had soup and bread bowls with family and friends. And thanks for the Kummer's for driving so far to come and be with us! They are great friends of ours, and we were glad that they were able to come. It really was awesome to see all of our friends and family there who were willing to put aside other things that they had going and to be there with us on this very special day. We really are grateful for the love and support for all of those who came. My brother Anthony even had some car trouble coming up, but he made sure he was there to be apart of it, what a great brother! And Jayson's great grandmother was there, who is 92 :) I could go through and list every person that came, but I just wanted to say that we are really thankful to those who came and showed their love and support on Hudson's special day! :)
I can't believe that Christmas is already upon us. I put my Christmast decorations up at the beginning of November, and I'm not ready to be taking them down just yet. I am so grateful for the wonderful holiday where we are able to reflect on the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I remember as a kid reading the scriptures on Christmas Eve and learning all about His wonderful entrance onto this Earth, and I am so grateful for my parents for helping me build my testimony that I know that our Savior came to this earth and he made it possible for me to return to my Heavenly Father again. I'm grateful for the spirit of giving at this time of year. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
Well, Hudson is just waking up so I better get going. I will be posting pictures on here after Christmas because most of the ones I have taken the last few weeks have been on my mom's camera and I need to get them onto my computer. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas!!

Thanksgiving

This year we went to both of our parents houses for the day. We had dinner at Rick and Jeanie's, which was delicious. It was my first time having deep fried turkey and it was so good! I don't know if I will be able to go back to just plain roasted in the oven turkey. After that we headed to my mom's where all of my siblings were there. We sure did miss my niece and nephew Tyler and Hannah though! It was the first time my three older siblings were meeting Hudson so that was ecxiting!!
Jayson and I had made plans to go early morning shopping at Walmart, but when we got up with Hudson at 2:30 AM we were both too worn out to go. But we ended up going shopping at the Gateway in Salt Lake with my fam later that day, and I had gotten us tickets to New Moon at the theatre there. I was all hyped for New Moon, but I have to be honest I was dissapointed. The acting was horrible I thought, way too cheesy. The books are way bettr=er and I think from now on I am going to just stick to reading books. :) After that we hung out with my family for a few more days and came home on Saturday evening. It was a nice little vacation and Jayson was really glad for the 4 day weekend.
On Sunday we went and listened to Jayson's sister Stephanie and her husband Andrew speak in church. They both did a wonderful job! Then we hung out with Jayson's family for the afternoon and came home pretty tired from all of our traveling.
This week Jayson is in Riverton working until Friday so Hudson and I have been on our own. :) And it's been a good little experience. He is beginning to be WAY more alert and is staying awake for hours at a time. I haven't gotten much sleep, but that's ok it is awesome to be able to stay home with my son and be with him. This morning we did mommy and baby yoga. He absolutely loved it. You could tell it totally relaxed him and it will probably become a morning ritual in our house :)
I'm looking forward to my dad coming home next week and Hudson meeting him. :) Well I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
