Labor Day Weekend

We started off Saturday with a nice workout with my boys. They are the best and cutest workout buddies ever.

On Sunday we went to Rick and Jeanie's to celebrate Jeanie's birthday (September 1st). It was a good day. Our boys really love getting together and playing with all their cousins.
On Monday, Jayson had gone hunting with his brother and dad so the boys and I decided to go have a picnic at the park. The weather was just beautiful. It was a perfect fall day.

After the picnic at the park we ran to our storage unit really fast. Hudson had been bugging me all day about since it was fall that meant Halloween was coming, so while we were there we got out the Halloween box and the boys had fun putting on the costumes. I love fall and am so excited for the next few months.

Preschool!!

I can hardly believe my sweet little Hudson is going to preschool now. He seems to have just grown up overnight. I am so proud of him, and it makes it easier to have him go when he loves it so much. The night before his first day Jayson gave him a fathers blessing. It was really sweet and tender, and I think it really calmed the few nerves Hudson was having about preschool.

Here he is on his first day! He was so excited.
We had to take a few pictures of just the three of us before Hudson left.

It was kind of a shocking first day for Colt too. He was not quite sure what to do with himself, but I made sure we had lots to do. We shucked 3 dozen corn and got them blanched and in the freezer to be able to enjoy all winter long. We love corn around here.

Colt really enjoys the time without Hudson because he finally gets to do whatever it is he wants to do, and I love the time with just him too. We haven't ever had time with just Colt, so it's fun to interact with him on a one on one level.

We survived the first day, and now we are in full blown schedule mode. It's crazy to think not that long ago it would be days before I even really needed to leave the house, and how just preschool, Jayson going back to work, and I'm still working a little bit keeps us on the go go go! It's good though. This is a really fun stage of life.
