Well Jayson and I have some really big, exciting news! With this whole economy thing going so up and down we have been really praying to try to find Jayson a job that will bring in a steady paycheck and won't be affected by the economy. Well, we found one. After lots of thinking about it, talking about it, and praying/fasting about it we have decided that Jayson is going to enlist in the United States Air Force. We haven't made anything official yet so if you ask me when he is leaving, where he is going, etc I will NOT know haha. But Jayson and I have made this decision and we are sticking to it. Jayson took the ASFAB (the qualification test) last week, and because he scored so well....he can have any position he wants in the Air Force. Jayson is really hoping to be a mechanic.
We obviously still have to get the details in order. We have an appointment with our recruiter on Wednesday to get the ball rollin! What we know so far is that it could be up to 5 months before Jayson leaves for basic training. He will go to basic (pretty sure its in Texas) for 8 weeks and then go to a specialized training school for 9-12 weeks (depending on the career path he chooses). After that he will be stationed...uh....somewhere haha. Once Jayson is done with basic and his training we will be able to live together, on the base wherever he is stationed. We felt like this was such a good decision for us. It gives us great benefits, great retirement, great opportunity for Jayson to go back to school (for FREE!), a steady paycheck, and the chance to get to travel. One thing Jayson and I really want to do is see the world! And now we will have the chance. We are really really excited about this choice that we made together!
I love Jayson so very much, and I am so proud of him for making the step to serving our country and doing something that he loves to do! My grandfather, dad, and several great uncles and cousins all have served in the military. And I am PROUD of the sacrifice that they have given. With my dad being gone a lot with the military I TOTALLY understand what its like to have your dad not be around all the time. But never for one moment did I not know that my dad loved me. And I am proud to be the daughter of a member of the Air National Guard, and the grandaughter of a member of the Air Force, and the second cousin to a member of the Navy and Marines. I feel so honored to have so many family members who have fought for this country. They are all wonderful role models. And I know that one day, our kids will be so proud of Jayson.
Well, thats our news lately, I will fill ya'll in once we get more information. Have a great day!

BEST ICE CREAM EVER!
Fun Night

We had a fun night last night over at Jayson's sister's and her husband's (Andrew) house in Kemerrer WY. We went over there for dinner and a little Wii action. I made some Monkey Bread for the occasion and here is a pic of that, and also on our way over there Jayson and I were in a "gangsta" mood listening to rap and taking pictures of us being "serious" haha it was pretty fun! :)
Oh and Stephanie...the recipe is really simple for Monkey Bread. It's just 2 packages of the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, cut in half and rolled in cinnamon and sugar, and then spread out in a 9"X13" pan. Then you mix in a saucepan 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1 cup vanilla ice cream. You poor the mixture over the cinnamon rolls and back for 18-20 minutes at 400 degrees. You can either serve it warm or cold over ice cream, or just plain like that. Its one of our favorite desserts!

New Calling
Well I just remembered that I forgot to say this in my last post, and figured it deserved its own post. So here goes.
Jayson and I got our first calling together as......PRIMARY TEACHERS!! That is the perfect job for us. I love kids so much. I think it is really because I am a big kid at heart. We are now teaching a sweet little group of Sunbeams!! We are teaching SUNBEAMS! SUNBEAMS! (I hope you all remember that primary song about sunbeams where you stand up whenever you say the word Sunbeam, because that is what I was getting at a moment ago haha). We are so excited for this calling and really looking forward to it. I just hope that we are able to help these young ones get a basic testimony and understanding of this wonderful Gospel that we are so blessed to have in our lives.

Well today I was having a little bit of trouble fixing my blog. haha, I was getting seriously frustrated when I thought to myself, uh...why am I getting mad? haha, I couldn't believe that I was honestly mad about me not being able to figure out how to change these darn blogs. So I couldn't help but laugh at myself. Life is way too short to take anything too seriously. So I hope ya'll like the new adjustments. Its kind of random and all over the place, but that's how I like it! Hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday, and that this next week brings everyone atleast one moment of JOY! :)

Nothing new really
Well, I felt weird because I checked my blog and thought, "oh I should post something" but nothing really new is going on. I have been working some weird hours, and with some...uh....different people you could say...so that has been no fun but I am toughing it out. And Kerri made my day yesterday because I got my Mary Kay lotion in the mail and I was so happy! Thanks Kerri!! :) I hope everyone is well. :)
