I wish I had something more fun to blog about today...but that is not so. Today I was washing and putting away all the baby clothes, and getting very excited about it. I was so happy that everything is getting done and I had cleaned my front room, vacuumed, dusted, the works because neither Jayson or I had been home very much the past 2 weeks so my house was in need of some TLC. So there I am working away and as I am walking back towards our bedroom I see a little brown mouse dash across my kitchen floor heading straight back into our bedroom. YUCK! I was not happy at all. I called Jayson right away to tell him to bring home some more traps because apparently this little bugger didn't see any of the ones that are already put up. He assured me that he would get right on it. At that moment in time my sweet little son decides to tap dance on my bladder...but the mouse is somewhere by the bathroom and I am only in my socks and would HATE to have the thing run across my feet. So luckily my mother in law only lives up the street and I run right up to her house to use the bathroom. And then blog about it all :) So now I am thinking, that stupid mouse has free rein on my house right now, but he better be so scared that he isn't going too far. Because I am headed back bb gun in tow to make sure he doesn't get anywhere else in my house.
This reminds me of a dilemma I have been having. Jayson and I have the church calling of teaching the sunbeams (3-4 year olds). They are just the sweetest. But the next lesson that we are supposed to teach is "I can be kind to animals." Now how do you explain to these 3-4 year olds to be kind to animals as their dads, grandpas, brothers, sometimes even women family members head out hunting at this time of year?? There is one little boy in our class that told me on Father's Day that him and his dad were going rabbit hunting for their special day :) haha, so how do you explain to be kind to animals to kids that grow up knowing its ok to hunt, fish, sometimes even kill for recreation?? Just a thought :)
I hope everyone is having a wonderful mouse free day!
