So far this summer...

We have been having a really fun summer and it has been busier than I thought it would be. We have been up in the hills a few times, gone shooting, played outside, taken lots of baths....I seriously can't get Hudson out of there haha, and one night our dogs who usually stay in our mud room decided they would come visit me while I was feeding Colt...those little buggers! I hope everyone is having a good summer so far...it has been kinda cold here the last few days and we are looking forward to some heat! :)

Finally getting the pictures up from Idaho/Montana

Our trip to Idaho/Montana started out a week or two early, I have five lists of things to do before we left and things to pack, etc...so this is what my boys did while I tried to cross everything off the list :)

After my little sisters graduation (WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU SIS!) we got in the car and started making the 12 hour drive...it was crazy...we had stuff tied on top of our car and it started raining and snowing...we were going to try to do it in one day but we ended up stopping for the night and Jayson and I found the last hotel that had any openings and jumped on it haha...it was really ghetto but it was nice to get a few hours sleep and my boys had had it by this time. We got up early and finished the trek to Clark Fork Idaho and once we got out of the car Hudson was just go go go...I can't blame him after being cooped up in the car all day for 2 days. My kids were little angels on the trip...seriously I couldn't have asked for better travelers. Colt only got fussy the last few miles before we got to Clark Fork, amazing! It really helped that Amber and her kids were with us, we sure had a fun trip!

It was so fun to go fishing and explore the beautiful Clark Fork area, Hudson was just loving life. And once we were with all our family so many people were passing Colt around I hardly saw him :)

Hudson loved looking at the fish but Uncle Andy loved getting the fish right in Hudson's face which he didn't love but it was funny haha

Hudson found this book at a gas station for 6 dollars and I made sure he enjoyed it the entire 6 dollars worth haha.

Everyone was so good to run around with Hudson and keep him busy.

This is from our trip home, both of my boys slept for almost 4 hours straight...they were so worn out. It was such a fun trip to be with all of our family, we sure miss you guys! I'm glad we were able to go and celebrate Grandpa Stan and the great man he was.

My Grandpa Stan

We just had a memorial service for my Grandpa Stan in his hometown of Clark Fork, ID this past Sunday and I wanted to do a post just for him. He was such a wonderful grandpa. I have some really great memories of him throughout my childhood. I remember him asking my to braid his long mullet when we went camping haha, and I remember him taking me to McDonalds one time as a kid and telling me I could get whatever I wanted...so I got a kids meal hamburger, and once we had sat down he unwrapped it for me and pulled a yogurt container out of his coat and spread it all over my hamburger haha. I remember sharing a love for jalepenos and spicy things. I remember him at every single one of my basketball games cheering me on and supporting me. His baptism just a few years ago was beautiful. He was such a loving grandpa to me. I'm grateful that he was my grandpa and taught me many lessons, like never wear flip flops when driving so that if you get into an accident you don't have to worry about your shoes falling off :) I remember him teaching me how to drive, and showing me how to fish. And I know that even though I'll miss him here on Earth that he is doing much more important work on the other side. I'm grateful for the knowledge I have that this life on Earth is not the end, that it is only the beginning to a wonderful existence on the other side and that I will see my grandpa again. I know that God is good and merciful. It was so wonderful to go up to Idaho with all my family, I felt so close to God in that beautiful place and I know that Grandpa Stan was there enjoying it too. It was so beautiful. I will post another post of just our trip pictures. I love you Grandpa Stan :)

Our week

We had fun playing with cousins and jumping with Grandpa Rick on Saturday :) Jayson and Rick went and picked up this golf cart so Hudson, Colt and I went to hang out with Jeanie and Tasha's kids and we had a really great day outside...just one little scare when Hudson tried to pick up a bee!

The boys have been spending lots of time in just their diapers because it has been so warm :)

It is an adventure trying to get a picture of these two both looking at the camera and both smiling. It sure makes for some candid moments :) I love this last one where Hudson is laughing so hard. Man my boys are handsome!

Hudson loves loves loves Thomas the train. It is the only morning cartoon he likes to watch while I'm making breakfast. He loves playing like he is the conductor :) He makes phone calls to Thomas, Percy, Toby, and pretty much all the other engines :) It's super cute!

Colt had his first taste of rice cereal last week. He didn't really love it at first but after he started munching it around he loved it!
I got a bicycle trailer so I can pull the boys around and get some exercise. It is so fun :) Hudson is crying in this picture because Colt kept trying to grab his mango ice cream haha.
This is how this boy spends a lot of time these days. He is teething and I can't wait until the little bugger pops so he can feel better!

I get comments all the time about how much Hudson and Colt look like Jayson...then people who know Jayson always say things like, "you sure do have your hands full" "good luck with those boys" "I hope they aren't too much trouble" haha :) It's so funny. But seriously I am already in trouble. The other night I was making dinner and Jayson and Hudson were outside playing. I went out to tell them dinner was ready and look what I found! Jayson teaching Hudson how to drive his jeep up the plastic slide! Those little stinkers! :) I sure do love my boys and love that every day is a new adventure :)
I'm just taking a little break right now in between laundry, cleaning, and organizing everything for our big road trip this weekend. It is my little sister's graduation then we are heading to Idaho for my Grandpa Stan's memorial service. I meant to do a big post on that last month when he died, but I just didn't finish it. He was such a wonderful Grandpa and I'm glad I have so many great memories with him. It will be great to get together with family and celebrate his life. I hope everyone has a great week!
