My Grandpa Stan

We just had a memorial service for my Grandpa Stan in his hometown of Clark Fork, ID this past Sunday and I wanted to do a post just for him. He was such a wonderful grandpa. I have some really great memories of him throughout my childhood. I remember him asking my to braid his long mullet when we went camping haha, and I remember him taking me to McDonalds one time as a kid and telling me I could get whatever I wanted...so I got a kids meal hamburger, and once we had sat down he unwrapped it for me and pulled a yogurt container out of his coat and spread it all over my hamburger haha. I remember sharing a love for jalepenos and spicy things. I remember him at every single one of my basketball games cheering me on and supporting me. His baptism just a few years ago was beautiful. He was such a loving grandpa to me. I'm grateful that he was my grandpa and taught me many lessons, like never wear flip flops when driving so that if you get into an accident you don't have to worry about your shoes falling off :) I remember him teaching me how to drive, and showing me how to fish. And I know that even though I'll miss him here on Earth that he is doing much more important work on the other side. I'm grateful for the knowledge I have that this life on Earth is not the end, that it is only the beginning to a wonderful existence on the other side and that I will see my grandpa again. I know that God is good and merciful. It was so wonderful to go up to Idaho with all my family, I felt so close to God in that beautiful place and I know that Grandpa Stan was there enjoying it too. It was so beautiful. I will post another post of just our trip pictures. I love you Grandpa Stan :)

Our week

We had fun playing with cousins and jumping with Grandpa Rick on Saturday :) Jayson and Rick went and picked up this golf cart so Hudson, Colt and I went to hang out with Jeanie and Tasha's kids and we had a really great day outside...just one little scare when Hudson tried to pick up a bee!

The boys have been spending lots of time in just their diapers because it has been so warm :)

It is an adventure trying to get a picture of these two both looking at the camera and both smiling. It sure makes for some candid moments :) I love this last one where Hudson is laughing so hard. Man my boys are handsome!

Hudson loves loves loves Thomas the train. It is the only morning cartoon he likes to watch while I'm making breakfast. He loves playing like he is the conductor :) He makes phone calls to Thomas, Percy, Toby, and pretty much all the other engines :) It's super cute!

Colt had his first taste of rice cereal last week. He didn't really love it at first but after he started munching it around he loved it!
I got a bicycle trailer so I can pull the boys around and get some exercise. It is so fun :) Hudson is crying in this picture because Colt kept trying to grab his mango ice cream haha.
This is how this boy spends a lot of time these days. He is teething and I can't wait until the little bugger pops so he can feel better!

I get comments all the time about how much Hudson and Colt look like Jayson...then people who know Jayson always say things like, "you sure do have your hands full" "good luck with those boys" "I hope they aren't too much trouble" haha :) It's so funny. But seriously I am already in trouble. The other night I was making dinner and Jayson and Hudson were outside playing. I went out to tell them dinner was ready and look what I found! Jayson teaching Hudson how to drive his jeep up the plastic slide! Those little stinkers! :) I sure do love my boys and love that every day is a new adventure :)
I'm just taking a little break right now in between laundry, cleaning, and organizing everything for our big road trip this weekend. It is my little sister's graduation then we are heading to Idaho for my Grandpa Stan's memorial service. I meant to do a big post on that last month when he died, but I just didn't finish it. He was such a wonderful Grandpa and I'm glad I have so many great memories with him. It will be great to get together with family and celebrate his life. I hope everyone has a great week!

Randoms

Here is Colt the other day at Jayson's cousin's graduation from USU. We had a really fun time, I felt all  accomplished because I took a load to DI before hand and Hudson actually behaved himself during most of the ceremony, and we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse after with Jayson's mom and sisters...it was delicious as usual!

Every time Hudson comes around Colt, Colt loses all interest in other things and smiles and laughs with his big brother. I'm so excited for the day when they can play together. I know they are going to keep me real busy that's for sure!

I got the jumper out for Colt the other day and he loves it! Hudson also took a little try in it :) haha, and that last picture is one of Hudson around Colt's same age right now, they look so much alike but I think their differences are starting to show. What handsome boys I have though!

Colt loves to be swaddled which is so different than Hudson. But like Hudson he is a serious mover when he sleeps. I put him to sleep all swaddled and straight in the crib, and I always come to get him and he is in a different position with usually one or more arms out. What a silly little dude!
The other weekend we got to go try and shoot Jayson's boss's 50 cal gun. Jayson was in heaven! They had some problems though because the gun hadn't been shot in awhile but Jayson still had a really fun time.
Look at those lips!! We are in trouble when that boy is a teenager that's for sure!
We have been having lots of fun around here these days. It has been a little bit cooler and some rainy days which have made me really appreciate the sun! I almost forget what we did all winter to stay busy inside. Hopefully it just keeps warming up though! We have lots to look forward to in the next couple weeks, branding, Katie's dance performance, Katie's graduation, and the trip to Idaho for my Grandpa Stan's memorial service. We are excited to be busy the next couple weeks. Hope everyone has a great rest of their week!
