So far this summer

Hudson loves putting on Jayson's hard hat and glasses and then he pretends he is the worker daddy.

I was so proud of myself this week for getting my smoothie packs all ready for the freezer, it is so easy in the morning to just grab one out and stick it in the blender with a little juice. My kids love them too, I have to make each bag a double serving so we can all enjoy it :)
And the last week or so I have been off my game, and over the last weekend we ate quesadillas for like four meals straight. I had a bad cold, Colt had a sinus infection and I just didn't feel like doing anything. So to make it up to Jayson I made one of favorite meals, roasted veggie enchiladas.
One night while Jayson was giving me my injection the boys were just in our front room playing. While Jayson was cleaning up after the injection (as the meds go in it kind of burns so I usually try to just lie down for a few minutes) colt came running into our room and when I looked at him I noticed he was covered in something. I had left a bag of flour on the counter from dinner and the boys had helped themselves :) when I walked out Hudson said, "look mom I made you a cake!" Haha all I could do was laugh and then get the boys to help clean it up. I am still finding flour in random places.

We had a play date with some friends running through our sprinklers. That has been a favorite summer activity so far.

Hudson is a huge train fanatic. He is smart when it comes to building the tracks in different ways. His favorite thing is to make a circle track and sit in it while the train goes around. Then he has to take a picture to show daddy when he gets home from work. Kind of sounds like if you give a mouse a cookie...

Colt has never really fell asleep anywhere random, except for this day after getting home from the store he climbed right onto the couch and fell asleep. And yes my 18 month old is still drinking from a bottle. For some reason after getting his tonsils and adenoids removed he hasn't liked to drink out of any sippy. If we are sitting at the table eating he can drink out of a cup but if we are on the go it has to be his bottle. And right now that's just one of the last things I'm worried about haha.

Colt looks so old to me now that he got his hair cut. It's so crazy how fast time is flying and how fast my boys are growing up. They both are at such a fun age and they play well together most of the time. I'm looking forward to lots more fun adventures this summer!

Some news about me...

I don't remember who all gets the email for this blog anymore, and I don't even know if anyone even reads this anymore...but I wanted to post this in case someone who hasn't heard already wanted to know.
About three weeks ago, I went in to the doctor because I had been having some neurological problems ( I had lost my sense of taste and my vision was shaky all the time). I have also experienced some random neurological stuff in the last 6 months or so, like random feet tingling and numbness. The doctor ordered an MRI, and after looking at the scan and my different things going on in the last 6 months, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, or MS. You can google MS if you want more info, but it's an autoimmune disease where my own immune system attacks the healthy parts of my body. It's not a death sentence, but there is no cure, so this is something I will have for the rest of my life. I have seen a specialist and I am also trying to get in to see a doctor at an MS clinic in salt lake. But because of the lesions on my brain (scar tissue from my immune system attacking) the neurologist told me its better to start treatment sooner rather than later. I am currently looking over and researching my options. There are daily or weekly shots I can take that are pretty low risk, and there are also some higher risk pills and IV infusions that I can do. Jayson and I are praying hard and thinking it all over.
I mainly just wanted to write this blog post so that people hear it from me, and know that I'm ok. I feel really lucky to be feeling pretty good, and to have such a great support system. I am feeling really blessed to have this very manageable disease. And I feel blessed to have a loving supportive husband, and two beautiful boys that remind me to be thankful for every moment I get to spend on the earth :)
If you have any questions about it, please just ask me. And I am always willing to take prayers in my behalf :)  thanks to whoever still reads this blog haha :)

Shout out to Auntie Tatie :)

This sweet sister of mine is headed on a mission to Santiago Chile next week and I honestly couldn't be more happy, proud, excited for her! She is such an amazing example to me of strength. I'm so glad my boys have such a special bond with her. They are going to miss her like crazy, but they are so proud of her too! Hudson asks all the time if he can go to Chile with auntie to baptize people. I'm so glad he already understands the importance of missionary work and will be able to grow and learn from Katie's mission too.
The other day we were driving in the car, when Hudson randomly asked, "Daddy can I go on a mission some day?". I honestly thought Jayson was going to swell up and pop from the feelings of pride. It's so awesome watching Hudson's testimony start to grow and understand the gospel more. I'm so grateful for all missionaries, and for my own sweet husband who served a mission.
I know that the gospel is true. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and atoned for my sins, to allow me to one day live in God's presence again. I'm so proud of you Katie. You will be an amazing missionary! And I'm so glad i'll be there to send you off :)

First camping trip of the summer!

We had so much fun on our first camping trip of the season. It's a fun tradition with Jayson's family to go camping on Memorial Day. We had some beautiful weather to enjoy this year! The boys had so much fun playing with all their cousins, and we had fun catching up with everyone. I also really enjoyed snuggling my new sweet baby niece Paislee! You forget how little newborns are! My boys seemed so huge compared to her. She is such a sweet baby and I am so excited for Steph and Andrew :)
Hudson gained a new obsession with worms while we were camping. He would find one, lose it, and immediately need to find a new one. Colt just went along with everything the big kids were doing. Jayson read a good book, and I started reading through the Harry potter books again, always a favorite!
I'm excited this weekend to get to go to Arizona and send my sweet little sissy on her mission! I can't believe the day is already here. I'm so proud of her and so excited for this new adventure of hers!

Life lately...

It seems like we have been sick for weeks in this house. First Colt gets something, then Hudson catches it, by the time we are all healthy again something else has come up. I can't wait for summer, and being able to smell the fresh air! But...I do have some recent pictures I wanted to post because I am trying really hard this year to be better about logging and journaling. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Just a typical day

Around here life isn't too glamorous, or adventurous, but it is great! :) I love spending days with my boys, watching them play...or more like wrestle. Now don't get me wrong, it's nowhere near perfect, but whose house is? We have fights, tantrums, and lots of messes. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some pics from our day :)

New Year

Our NYE was a quiet one. We drank sparkling cider at dinner, and the kids went to bed early and Jayson and I had a Harry potter marathon. It was fun to just spend it at home doing some quiet things.

Reflections.

Limb Family Proclamation 2012

We pledge to love God, each other, and all around us with all of our hearts.
We pledge to only speak kind words, and to not judge those around us.
We pledge to give 100% of ourselves 100% of the time.
We pledge to be quick to give a helping hand, and to seek out missionary experiences.
We pledge to let the light of our Savior Jesus Christ be evident in our daily actions.
We pledge to take chances, and to put all of our faith and trust in God.
We pledge to take every opportunity we can to appreciate the beautiful world God made for us.
We pledge to make informed financial decisions and to rid ourselves of all debt.
We pledge to be better prepared in the event of an emergency.
We pledge to have family night every week.
We pledge to take lots of pictures, even if we are in our pjs and the house is dirty.
We pledge to make this year our best year yet!

This was our proclamation from last year. Every year Jayson and I sit down and do an inventory where we look at the things we have done this last year and see if they have been true to what we wanted to accomplish in our proclamation. This year was no different, and I'm grateful for such a strong priesthood holder as head of our family. We learned lots in 2012 and are excited to continue to learn and grow in 2013. Here is our proclamation for this year!

Limb Family Proclamation 2013

We pledge to love God, each other, and those around us with all of our hearts. We pledge to be quicker to forgive. We pledge to be kinder, and act out of love instead of acting out of spite or anger. We pledge to be true, and to stand up for our beliefs. We pledge to visit the temple more often. We pledge to reflect more on the life of our Savior Jesus Christ, and to emulate him in all we do. We pledge to make our home a refuge from the worries of the world. We pledge to find peace, and to mend family relationships that have been hurt. We pledge to celebrate this Earth we have been given by enjoying it all we can. We pledge to continue to read our scriptures with a thirst for knowledge in understanding the Gospel. We pledge to be better prepared in the event of an emergency. We pledge to gather together with our friends more often, and to find time to do fun things. We pledge to trust that God in his infinite wisdom sees the big picture, and understands our triumphs and trials and that as long as we are faithful all will be well. We pledge to document our lives better, in journaling, blogging, and taking more pictures. We pledge to make this our best year yet!
There are a few things that are the same from last year, obviously those are things we are going to continue to work on! Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year!
