So I'm trying to blog while Hudson is desperately trying to also type on the laptop, so sorry that the pictures are all our of order, but this is the best I can do right now haha :) We had a wonderful trip to San Diego in July. Ben went to the Lebron James bball camp at UCSD so my mom got a little apartment on campus and stayed during his camp with my little sister and cousin Courtney. We had thought about going but we didn't know how Jayson's work schedule would be, and a few days before we found out it would work out so we did lots of last minute preperations, and Jayson seriously got home at 6 pm the night before we left. I had this "brilliant" idea, or what I thought was brilliant, to get up at 1 am the next day and drive to Vegas by 9 am and get to San Diego by like 6 pm that night, saving on one nights hotel expense. Well, let me tell you we will never be doing that again haha. I made it to just past Provo from our house before I had to have Jayson switch me, and he made it a few hours and then after that we were switching on and off almost every hour because we were so tired. Hudson did amazing though, slept until we got to Vegas where we stopped and had the BEST breakfast buffet ever at Treasure Island. We were going to walk around some, but already at 10 am in Vegas it was 98 degrees so we just decided to go on. Around 2 pm I was driving and had a muscle spasm attack from my TMJ that I was diagnosed with in high school after getting hit in the jaw during soccer. Basically it's just this seriously painful sharp muscle spasm on my jaw joint. So Jayson had to drive, and when we got to San Diego at 6 and I was still in pain and couldn't open my mouth we decided to go to the ER. Luckily my mom was already there with Katie and Courtney so they took Hudson while Jayson and I went. 2 hours of waiting to only get a bed in the hallway I was diagnosed with the same thing, TMJ, and given some nice pain meds. After I got the pain meds and I could move my mouth I felt a million times better. We went back to the apartment (right down the street from the hospital, lucky!) And I slept the rest of the night, my AMAZING and STUDLY husband took great care of me and Hudson, driving around San Diego to get my prescriptions and a nice Jamba Juice, and for those who don't know Jayson very well he HATES driving in the city, let alone a brand new city he has never been to. So I am totally grateful to him for taking such great care of me :) The next day I woke up and was feeling so much better after a good nights sleep. I rallied so we could keep going on our vacation and we headed to Sea World. Jayson had never been before, and he kept saying, what's the big deal it's just a bunch of fish, so we headed to the Shamu show first off. Katie got a little sick but by the time the show started she was alright. Jayson's eyes were wide the whole time! He could not believe the stuff they get the whales to do. I had been to the show when I was younger, and I have got to say that I liked it a lot better when they would get in the water with the whales. Obviously, they had to take away that danger when that woman died, but now the show is pretty much a movie they show and a few whales come out for a few minutes. Anyways, it was good overall. We watched the famous sea lion show, that has just gotten better and better since I saw it. It is hilarious! And we loved watching it, Hudson even got a few kicks out of it. We walked around the rest of the day, petting the star fish and the sting rays. Jayson thought that was pretty cool too. Then around 6 my mom took Hudson back and we headed to the ride, which I didn't know gets you soaking wet! It was freezing cold! Jayson played some games to try to win Hudson the biggest shamu stuffed animal I had ever seen, he ended up winning a dolphin, and my mom got Hudson the shamu stuffed animal that goes over your hand and squeeks which is the same one I got when I was younger and we went there! How cute! :) Hudson loves that thing. He cracks right up when we squeek it at him. After Sea World we needed a day of relaxing so we headed to the beach, which also happened to be Jayson's birthday! Happy birthday baba! We went to the Mission Bay beach which is by far our favorite in San Diego. Hudson absolutely LOVED the beach. He was right in there playing in the sand and sea weed, and never once tried to put any in his mouth. What a great kid! He didn't like the cold water very much and I don't blame him. I don't like the water much either. Jayson and my cousin Courtney had so much fun boogie boarding and playing in the water. While Hudson was napping Jayson and I went on a bike ride up the beach which was super fun! Going back to the apartment that day we realized that we definitely needed to lather more sun screen on, we were all pretty much burned! Jayson had a weird sunburn on his back, in a perfect circle! It was crazy! We spent the next day relaxing at the apartment waiting for my dad to fly in. That was wonderful being able to see my dad, he hadn't seen Hudson since he was a month old! We also went to see Ben at his camp, and we got to watch Lebron James play. It was so crazy watching my little brother stand right there next to Lebron like nothing. Ben said he ate lunch with them and was really pretty down to earth, except for all the security of course haha. After packing up all of our stuff we headed on our way home and stopping at Universal Studios. We loved that place! We went on the tour, saw tons of stuff and seriously loved the 3D movie while on the tour! It's like it's a ride in itself. We went on the new Simpson's ride, which was also super fun, got our picture with Homer, and ate some good food! I wish Hudson had been older, there was a water park that is all based around Curious George that looked so fun for little boys, good thing we are definitely planning on going back there. After Universal we just continued on our way home and stopped in Vegas and stayed yet again at Treasure Island so we could have their breakfast buffet. We pulled in to Vegas around 2 AM and when we went to check in they told us that their computers were down and we would have to wait, it was ridiculous!! So we all sat on one couch and waited for about 25 minutes until they got the computers working again. We were all so tired we hit those beds and were out! After having the buffet we headed on home, Jayson and I were a little ahead of my parents and we stopped to see my brother Anthony in Provo on the way home. It was definitely a much needed vacation and I'm so glad we went and have those memories. :) I will be posting some more posts about the different stuff we have done this summer, but right now this is all I have time for. :) Also, I realized I put the picture up where we are all in front of Anthony's Sea Grotto without an explanation, BEST SEAFOOD EVER!! It is a MUST when we are in Cali, and I'm soooooo glad we went, twice!! I love having seafood when you can sit right there on the ocean knowing it wasn't flown in from anywhere, it's FRESH! Anyways, happy reading. Hope you all have had a wonderful summer!

Can you say upgrade....
Yes, that is our old car. Sad day huh? I was driving down the aisle of the Walmart in Evanston and this guy tried to cut across me and I hit him. He had a big van, and our poor car didn't make it. They totalled it. It was a pretty sad day. This idiot guy tried to say it was my fault even though he cut across the parking lot right in front of me. It was ridiculous. But his insurance assumed liability and paid us for the total of our car. So we decided an upgrade was in order....so we upgraded to this.....
Say hellooooo to our new 2005 Chevy Tahoe. Yup, my husband is the greatest and picked this one our for our family :) It seats 8, yes I do know that right now there is only 1, 2, 3 of us but we are hoping to one day expand our family so instead of buying a car that fits us now, and another one when we need it later we just figured we would GO BIG or GO HOME! :) And also we can take out the entire back row and have plenty of space in the back for camping, or grocery shopping (I shop mainly in bulk and in our other car I hardly could fit anything so I would have to make more than one trip to the Sam's Club an hour and a half away, now I will only need to make one trip! YAY!). And I just fell in LOOOVEE with it when I saw it. It has a sun roof, Bose stereo system, and even though its used it is in GREAT shape. We got a great deal thanks to a wonderful lady in our new ward, she works at Castle Rock Chevrolet in Evanston. It also has 22 inch rims, haha Jayson was trying to see if we could switch the tires with another tahoe on the lot so they were just stock but I told Jayson if I was going to have a hot momma car those rims needed to be on it :) haha, and he secretely wanted to keep them too (even though the tires will be a little bit more expensive to replace) so here we are. And I LOOOVE it, so much fun to be grown up and have a new house and a new car all in one year. We are definitely counting our blessing!! We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends around us who support us. So, thanks to all! And I want to give a special shout out to my sweet hubby who works so hard so that Hudson and I can enjoy these new things. He is such a great person. I feel so blessed to have found him and snagged him! :) Well, I hope that everyone is having a great summer, make sure to check out my other posts below about our fun summer so far, and things are just going to get more exciting in the next few weeks as I have a BEAUTIFUL aunt getting married in 2 weeks (whom I am so excited for, she is such a wonderful woman and I look up to her!) and a brother who is also getting married and lots of family visits and some fun road trips tentativilely (sp) planned. Well have a great day!
Our summer has been a busy and fun one so far. A few weeks ago my mom went to a conference near Heber. She invited Hudson and I to come along and I just started wearing down from moving so I said of course!! :) We stayed at the very beautiful Zermatt hotel and spa. It was very fun. We ended up staying one night and two days and while my mom was in meetings and my brother was playing with his friend (who's mom works with my mom) Hudson and I went for walks and enjoyed relaxing. We also tried swimming in a pool for the first time with Hudson. Jayson is pretty allergic to chlorine so I was nervous about putting Hudson in the pool, but he seemed to do alright with it. His eyes started getting a little red after he had been out for a few hours so I figured that he had rubbed his eyes when we went swimming, but nothing serious. We were super lucky to be able to pick Jayson up in Evanston when he got off at like midnight and then he came with me back to the hotel and stayed the night and then we headed to my mom's for the weekend. Thanks mom for letting us crash your conference!!
On a side note there was a speaker during the conference that spoke about a case where a 19 year old boy was texting and driving in Cache county and crossed the center line and hit another car with 2 professors from Utah State, they ended up running into a truck that was driving behind the 19 year old and they were killed upon impact. It was so so so sad. They were featured on Oprah as she has started her NO PHONE ZONE project. Which I am TOTALLY on board for. I signed the online petition thing saying that I would no longer use my phone while driving, whether it is texting or talking. No text is worth a car accident over. I don't have the link for the video, but I'm sure its on YouTube if you want to look it up, and to see Oprah's NO PHONE ZONE project click here. Seriously, go check it out and sign it!! We definitely need to be more proactive about this, especially since kids are using cell phones earlier than normal, we need to make sure people are driving safely!!
Bear Lake...
This is from awhile ago, but we headed to Bear Lake for a fun evening with our friends who were camping over there. We had planned on going camping for the whole weekend, but that was the same day I got into an accident in the Walmart parking lot in Evanston (post coming about that) so we only ended up going for an evening. Amanda made a fabulous dinner, thanks! And we had fun splashing in the water. Hudson absolutely LOVED it. He could not get enough of it. I'm glad that he had such a fun time, and he never once tried to put any sand in his mouth, thank goodness!
