"Things happen for a reason"

Well it has been awhile since I have posted a blog, and today I find myself sitting in the surgical waiting room at the UofU hospital and I suppose now is as good of a time as any to update the blog.
My grandpa is having surgery today, and that is why I can't be found in this place known as the "surgical waiting room". It reminds me of the book Oh The Places You Go by Dr. Suess....people just waiting. Of course, in this waiting room people are waiting for those in surgery. But who knows, they might be waiting for death, for health, and the most likely is waiting for the unknown to become the known. It's a sad place to be. Luckily, I have learned to take life as it comes and it helps a lot knowing that my grandpa is doing ok. I sit here and look at the other people...some upset, some sad, some mad...and I think, "Gosh I'm lucky to know what I know". I am so lucky that I have the knowledge that life goes on after this. There is something more to look forward to, actually that thing is the most important thing. I get to be with Jayson forever. Jayson and I will be an eternal family, and that is a fact. That alone has been getting me through some tough times. No matter what happens in this life...whether or not I am poor or rich, healthy or sick, or just your average Joe; I have the opportunity to be with Jayson forever. YAY!! :)
I'm sorry if I have kind of skipped all over the place, first talking about the waiting room, and then going on to my knowledge of the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Basically, I just wanted to say that I know that there is so much more joy that I will be able to experience, and even through all the pain that I will experience here on this earth I know that it won't matter in my eternal perspective of things.
Also, I would just like to make a little random side note and thank my husband for everything that he has done to help our little family grow. He is my rock, and I don't know what I would do without him. Today he gave my grandpa a blessing, which is quite a big deal because he has been so anti-religion for most of his life. It meant a lot to me that he would only allow Jayson to give him a blessing. Jayson has this wonderful talent of touching peoples' lives in what might seem the most simplest of ways, but it changes the lives of those around him. Everyday I am amazed at his ability to instantly love people. I hope that one day I can have that kind of passion towards those I come in contact with, even strangers.
Well if this isn't the most random post you have ever read I would like to see the other. :)

OUR WYO WEEKEND

Jayson and I headed to Mountain View Wyoming this weekend to see my brother and his little family. We got to hang out with my nieces, go fishing and shooting, and just enjoy the beautiful WYOMING weather. I am from Wyoming and I miss it so much, so it was really good to get back and be there. We had a lot of fun and are hoping to get back to see them soon.

THE CUTEST NEPHEWS AND NIECES, yup I'm a lucky aunt

So I have the cutest nieces and nephews in the whole world, really I do...here are pictures for proof.

Shootin the bull...or the dishes

SAY GOODBYE TO THE DISHES!!
Jayson and I went shooting the other weekend, and it was a blast! We got some new dishes for our wedding and decided that we would shoot the old ones. It was kind of a hot day so we didn't stay out too long, but it was a pretty fun time. We also shot some Mountain Dew bottles that we had from right before we got married that had turned bad so we shot those two also, well I actually shot the first one...but Jayson got the second one.

More Pics

Our 24th of July Weekend

I know its late but here are some pictures of our 24th weekend, or more like our week because we went up there camping from Wednesday to Sunday...but it was lots of fun being with the Limb side of the family. We had a fun time cliff jumping, swimming, eating, four wheeling, shooting, and playing games.

THE DARK KNIGHT

This weekend was jam packed full of fun. First on Friday night Jayson and I met our friends Mike and Lyndsi for a showing of The Dark Knight. I can't even begin to tell you how much we loved that movie. I was actually kind of nervous about it, because I had read so many different things about Heath Ledger, and his very realistic performance...I actually told Jayson not to make fun of me if I ya know, accidentaly spilled my drink on myself (or pee my pants). He was very kind about it of course, but I still couldn't help but be scared. Then the movie started, and oh boy did I get my exercise that night. I was all over the place, waving my hands, rocking in me seat. I LOVED IT!!!!!! I think that it was an amazing movie, that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I feel bad for Lyndsi who had to sit next to me while I was, uh, enjoying the tense moments.
So definitely a 2 thumbs up from us on that movie.
Also this weekend we went shooting and got things ready for our big camping trip with the Limb family this weekend...which we are SUPER excited for! :)

MOVIES OF THE SUMMA

Jayson and I watch a lot of movies...and I mean a lot...usually when Jayson comes home from school that is our routine, to pop in a show and then watch it while we cook. And of course, we can't just leave a movie half viewed, we usually just end up watching the entire thing...well ok Jayson watches the whole thing and I fall asleep within the first half an hour or so. (So that is why we watch most of our movies a few times so I can catch the whole thing) We also love going to the theatre...and so these are my veiws of the films we have seen this summer. Our next anticipated movie is Wanted, which we are both dying to see.

KUNG FU PANDA
Such a hilarious film!! Our new favorite word is "SKADOOSH!" It was funny, and of course it taught a wonderful lesson about believing in yourself. Walking out of that movie found Jayson chest bumping me and yelling out "SKADOOSH" haha, it was a good family film that is for anyone!

IRON MAN
How can I even start about this one? Jayson and I both walked out of that movie expecting now that we could fly and shoot bullets from our arms. And on our trip home Jayson had to rev the engine a few times fully thinking that our Pontiac Grand AM was going to turn into a Viper. I loved it!

HANCOCK
What I thought was going to be an action packed movie turned out to be a fascinating love story. It really kept us on our toes the entire time. For the last 5 minutes of the movie Jayson and I were both leaning forward in our chairs and saying (quite loudly) "This can't be it, can it??, can it??, I will be so pissed if this is the end, wait...I don't think it is...they wouldn't do that, would they??" It was a great movie and despite our pleas in the tense moments, it left us wanting oh so much more. Loved it.

GET SMART
One of the funniest movies I have seen this summer, its suspensful, full of action, and full of HILARIOUS Steve Carell. He is one of our favorites from The Office, and its been really good seeing him in Get Smart and Dan in Real Life. Good show, would definitely recommend it.

A DUMB Book

So I read that book Twilight....all I kept hearing was how impressive it was, and how EVERYONE and their dog was in love with Edward, that he is the perfect guy...EXCEPT he is a vampire! OK! SERIOUSLY!?!? I can't even believe that I even wasted that 7 hours of my life reading it. It was ridiculous, and I will for sure not be wasting any more of my time reading the rest of the books. I'm sorry to all of you who liked that book. I just feel like it was not at all romantic, or suspensful, or entertaining, or anything of the sort. :) Well, just thought I would throw that out there.

Fourth of July

Jayson and I had an awesome 4th! We went camping with our friends Casey and Kirra for the whole weekend, it was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed the long weekend off. I made a big deal about making sure I brought my camera up with us on this camping trip, but I honestly never got around to taking any. So sorry there aren't any pictures. We had a fun time cooking and playing lots of cards. We also went up to Bloomington Lake and had a fun time watching the people cliff jump, and a few people brought inflatable tubes and were climbing up the snow covered mountain and then sliding down into the lake...it looked a little too cold for my taste but they looked like they were having fun. Jayson and I enjoyed the fire...probably a little too much. I don't think its safe that we have 2 pyro's in the family...but what can I say? We really enjoyed our tent and camping stuff that we got for our wedding, thanks guys! Basically, we had a great weekend relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Hopefully we will get to go it again soon...Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July weekend!
