Helicopter

When Hudson had to get stitches while Jayson and I were in Mexico, Jeanie let Hudson play with a little helicopter Rick had around to make him feel better, and since then Hudson has just been obsessed with helicopters and wanting one. Who knew that Jayson would be just as, if not more excited than the boys to get one and fly it around. It was raining yesterday so we had to go up to the church to check out it's capabilities. Jayson is such a good dad and it was so fun watching my three boys play together.

These two boys

I sure do love these two sweet boys of mine. Motherhood has been an amazing journey so far for me. Hudson came to our family at a completely unexpected time, but I know he came when he was supposed to. He has taught me so much about life. He is a smart, kind, and loving boy who really keeps me on my toes.
Colt is my sweet baby. He brings a special spirit to our family. He is so certain of himself and has the sweetest personality. He keeps me laughing all day. He has such a special relationship with Hudson and I'm so grateful they have each other.
I could never have imagined how muh being a mom would challenge and change me for the better. Even though there are days where I feel like I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off and most days I go to bed thinking of the millions of ways I could have done better, I know that I am supposed to be in charge of and care for these two sweet spirits. It's a responsibility I love having and I just hope and pray I can teach them to be good people who know that they are loved.

I'm also so grateful for the man who made it possible for me to be a mom. Jayson is the most amazing person I have ever met. He completes me in a way I didn't understand possible. He loves me and I him in a completely intense and beautiful way. I'm grateful for his mom that taught him so much. And I'm grateful that she continues to love and teach both of us :)
Happy Mothers Day!

Poor sick baby

This poor sweet baby of mine has not been feeling good today. The poor thing kept falling asleep all over the place. Here is to hopefully a restful night for him and feeling better tomorrow!

Just another Tuesday

Today was a great day. It started out with a workout at the church. We were a little early so while we waited we jammed out to Let It Go.

While I worked out with my friends Colt ran himself ragged at the church. He needed a nap and it was fun to snuggle him for a bit. I wish I could slow down time and keep him my baby for longer!

I love watching my kids sleep. They always look so peaceful.

These two were having a special brother bonding monent before we went outside, and I'm glad I caught it!

Colt loves reading. He has quite a few of our regular bedtime books memorized and I love hearing him repeat them.

And this is how my day ended. This is how they sat the entire time I read scriptures. It was the sweetest :)

Fun Day

We had a great day yesterday. Hudson as Colt had so muh fun going over to grandmas and playing with their cousins.

He just really wanted to go outside in Maria's shoes haha.
Hudson practicing the art of taking a selfie. There were about 50 of this same picture on my phone. :)
I'm so grateful for these two sweet boys who made me a mother. Motherhood is beautifully chaotic. It is the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done. I love being a mom to my two tender hearted and wild boys.  They know how to push my buttons and melt my heart all within a matter of minutes. I'm grateful for the challenges and the blessings that come with motherhood.

Wedding and Anniversary

On our 6th year anniversary my sweet little sister got married. It's fun that we get to share an anniversary. I was taking pictures with my big camera that day and didn't get too many on my phone but it was a beautiful day!

Bedtime stories with Grandma

I love that we live close enough to Jeanie that we can just run up to grandmas to have her read bedtime stories. Thanks Jeanie!!

Train!

One of the last remaining steam engines was moved to a museum this week and we got to catch a glimpse of it as it went through Evanston. Hudson was in heaven and kept saying, "this is the best day ever"!! It was a fun little adventure and I'm glad we got to go.

When Hudson had to get stitches while Jayson and I were in Mexico, Jeanie let Hudson play with a little helicopter Rick had around to make him feel better, and since then Hudson has just been obsessed with helicopters and wanting one. New resolve

I am terrible at journal keeping, and the other day I saw an article about family journal keeping and getting your kids involved, and I felt a new resolve to bring this blog back to life. If only for my kids to be able to read it and see and remember what our daily life was like. So here is to starting a new goal on a random Thursday in May :)
