Last bits of summer and great news!

Hudson and Colt love practicing their cutting skills. And I love that I have a few minutes to finish some dishes while they do that.

This is a picture my good friend Krista took at the fair on the night of the steak dinner. It was hilarious. If Colt has to go potty he pulls his pants down first then runs to tell you. We are working on that one.
Yesterday we went to Logan to go to the doctor and have a fun family day. The boys have a favorite tradition of going to the "bagel store" (Einstein bagel) to get breakfast when we have to be over there early. I tried to get a picture of them eating their bagel but they had already inhaled them.

For a fun before preschool starts thin we went and saw Planes 2 at the dollar theatre. The boys loved it. And Jayson and I thought it was definitely buy worthy too.
My mom had given Jayson a Buffalo Wild Wings gift card for his birthday so we had to go there. My kids love the Mac and cheese there. It was so fun to have such a relaxing day.

Then on to the best news of the day. Jayson went to the doctor and they cleared him to go back to work. We have loved having him home, and he has loved spending more time with the boys, but he is so ready to get back to work. Jayson is a doer. He loves being able to work and to work with his hands. Not being able to has been hard for him this summer. So I'm grateful he is headed back too. Today is his last day off and then back to work. Hudson starts preschool tomorrow too. I feel like this may be the start to a brand new chapter of our lives with Hudson going to school, starting a new routine. I'm excited for what's up ahead.

Fair Week

I have been terrible taking pictures of what's going on in our life lately, but here are the few I got from fair week.

We went to the Dutch oven cook off and $5 steak dinner one night, it was so delicious! The kids had so much fun too. I love the community I live in that keeps traditions like these alive.

That nigt after the steak dinner they showed the movie "tangled" on a big screen in the park. The boys absolutely loved it. Their favorite part may have been staying up way past their bedtime.
I watched my friend Krista's little girl while she was taking pictures for the 4H kids. It was fun to dress a little girl, and just play.
Saturday morning the town had a breakfast but I was working so I didn't get to go, but the sweet lady in charge brought me a plate. It was so nice, and yummy!

After I got off work we headed to big piney to go to justice and Carissa's reception. I didn't take any pictures with my iPhone while we were there, but it was a good day!
We hustled home to make it to the fireworks and I helped the store sell pizza as pretzels at the last night of the rodeo. It was fun.
Oh and this year Hudson and Colt entered in a craft at the fair, Hudson won a blue ribbon and Colt won a red, they were so excited and so proud. I was so proud of them for doing it. We will definitely have to keep that up.
This week is a big week for us, Jayson goes back to the doctor to see if he can finally go back to work, and Hudson starts preschool. I can hardly believe it. And I'm so excited for fall weather. Summer has been good, but I'm ready for the new season.

Wedding Weekend

This past weekend was Jayson's little brothers wedding in Brigham City. It was fun to get to see the Brigham City temple, it was so beautiful!

The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins. It was a beautiful day! We went to Maddox for lunch after and that was thoroughly enjoyable too :)

After the wedding we decided to hit up the last day of raspberry days in Garden City on our way home. We got some Lakeside pizza and went to the park to wait until the fireworks. The kids loved it.

Jayson was so sick of taking pictures that day :)

Terrible quality but it was such a fun night and I'm glad I got one of all of us.

Sunday brought on some fun wrestling matches and I found myself saying the sentence, "you have to wear underwear to battle your brother". It was a Sunday Funday for sure.

Camping with Friends

Last weekend when Colt swallowed my wedding ring we were supposed to go up camping with our friends above Randolph. Jayson and I thought about canceling, but we figured if we went up camping and we had to search through Colt's poop it would be easier to do up there because he couldn't flush it before we got to it :) On the last day we were up there my ring finally came out the other end, and after thoroughly cleaning it, several times and soaking it in alcohol, it is good as new :)
Our camping trip was so fun. Our favorite city people came up to enjoy some quiet in the country. And we had a blast. I'll just post the pictures and let them do the talking, because I need to get going so we can get on celebrating my most favorite persons birthday today! It's Jayson's 29th and we are headed to the doctor to check on his wrist hopefully one last time. YAY!
