Camping

Our annual Memorial Day camping trip was so much fun! My boys loved every minute of playing in the dirt and playing with their cousins. Each night they went to bed so worn out from the day and I'm definitely missing that now that we are back home and trying to get back to normal. Colt loved reading some books we had gotten from the library before we left. I love how grown up he looks.
Colt fell asleep before we had even had time to say our prayer. He is such a sweet little sleeper!
We did have to bust out the Ipad once or twice while we were getting them ready for bed, it was a nice surprise for them.

Lots of good food and sitting around the fire. Even the rain couldn't stop us from having a good time!

The kids loved playing with bubbles too!

Hudson's most favorite part was finding worms. He was so cute and named one "squirmy wormy". He was sad to have to leave them all in their homes in the dirt, but I'm one glad momma that I haven't found any in his pockets in my loads of laundry yet. They kids also found a little baby squeakie that they were so excited to show everyone.
These two are so sweet. We are definitely going to miss this sweet girl when she goes back to Mexico next week. I can't believe her time here is already gone, she is such a beautiful person! I'm glad we have gotten to know her, and I can't wait to go to Mexico to visit her!

The boys could not stay out of the dirt :)

We were lucky enough to be able to stay an extra day after everyone had left, and that was so fun but we were so sad to not have everyone there too. Definitely looking forward to doing it again next year!

Library Day

When Jayson got home this morning we headed up to the campsite we will be staying at over the weekend and got some of the dead logs moved. It was a nice quick trip, and made me and the boys excited for the weekend. I love living so close to such beautiful places, and it will be so nice to get away from everything for a bit.

After Jayson went to bed the boys watched a movie on the ipad while I got some dishes and laundry done. Then we headed over to my friend Krista's so she could help me edit the formal pictures I took for my little sister. Then we went to the park and to the library. It has become a weekly tradition to go to the library.
The rest of the day went by pretty normally. I absolutely love my life how it is right now and I wish I could slow down time, it seems to be just flashing by so fast.

Monday

Today was filled with getting things ready for camping, laundry, and a quick trip to the park. It was a great day. It's always a good start to graveyards week when the kids are in bed and asleep at 730. Now if you'll excuse me, there are some new episodes of scandal that are calling my name.

Sunday Funday

Today was a really relaxing Sunday. After church, where Jayson and I taught our new CTR 7 class, we headed over to Jeanie's for dinner. The boys insisted on riding their jeep up there, and I have a  feeling they are going to put a lot of miles on that thing this summer. After dinner we all just relaxed and watched the kids play. It was kind of an overcast day and I think that kind of put me in a mood where I just wanted to snuggle up with my boys and enjoy the moment. I'm glad I caught that sweet moment of the boys snuggling with Maria. I can't believe she is going home in a few weeks. I am really going to miss that girl. She has truly become a part of our family and I am so grateful she came to Rick and Jeanie. She is a special girl. Jayson and I are definitely planning a trip to Mexico to go visit her, and to go eat some more delicious Mexican food. :)

Can it be summer?

We finally got the boys' jeep out of storage and they thoroughly enjoyed it all day today. Hopefully it doesn't snow anymore! It was such a beautiful day today, I have really been craving some sunshine!

We rode up to Grandma and Grandpas in the jeep. I was so impressed that it had no problem running with me sitting on the back :) I could totally make something up saying Hudson told me to get on and ride, but nope it was totally my idea. Some days I want to feel like a kid too :)

Colt and I sitting in the porch enjoying some cereal.
We had to take a quick swing while we were at grandmas.
These two had such a great day as were so worn out by the time bedtime came around. I love getting to spend my days with these two sweet boys.

Busy Day

Today was a busy day full of playing at the park and going to the library. It was a beautiful sunny day and I loved spending it with my boys.

Then I got to go see this stud at his basketball banquet. I'm so proud of all his hard work. He is a baller! He is going to go far, and I just love that Swaggy B!!

Helicopter

When Hudson had to get stitches while Jayson and I were in Mexico, Jeanie let Hudson play with a little helicopter Rick had around to make him feel better, and since then Hudson has just been obsessed with helicopters and wanting one. Who knew that Jayson would be just as, if not more excited than the boys to get one and fly it around. It was raining yesterday so we had to go up to the church to check out it's capabilities. Jayson is such a good dad and it was so fun watching my three boys play together.

These two boys

I sure do love these two sweet boys of mine. Motherhood has been an amazing journey so far for me. Hudson came to our family at a completely unexpected time, but I know he came when he was supposed to. He has taught me so much about life. He is a smart, kind, and loving boy who really keeps me on my toes.
Colt is my sweet baby. He brings a special spirit to our family. He is so certain of himself and has the sweetest personality. He keeps me laughing all day. He has such a special relationship with Hudson and I'm so grateful they have each other.
I could never have imagined how muh being a mom would challenge and change me for the better. Even though there are days where I feel like I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off and most days I go to bed thinking of the millions of ways I could have done better, I know that I am supposed to be in charge of and care for these two sweet spirits. It's a responsibility I love having and I just hope and pray I can teach them to be good people who know that they are loved.

I'm also so grateful for the man who made it possible for me to be a mom. Jayson is the most amazing person I have ever met. He completes me in a way I didn't understand possible. He loves me and I him in a completely intense and beautiful way. I'm grateful for his mom that taught him so much. And I'm grateful that she continues to love and teach both of us :)
Happy Mothers Day!

Poor sick baby

This poor sweet baby of mine has not been feeling good today. The poor thing kept falling asleep all over the place. Here is to hopefully a restful night for him and feeling better tomorrow!

Just another Tuesday

Today was a great day. It started out with a workout at the church. We were a little early so while we waited we jammed out to Let It Go.

While I worked out with my friends Colt ran himself ragged at the church. He needed a nap and it was fun to snuggle him for a bit. I wish I could slow down time and keep him my baby for longer!

I love watching my kids sleep. They always look so peaceful.

These two were having a special brother bonding monent before we went outside, and I'm glad I caught it!

Colt loves reading. He has quite a few of our regular bedtime books memorized and I love hearing him repeat them.

And this is how my day ended. This is how they sat the entire time I read scriptures. It was the sweetest :)
