S'mores

On Sunday we went up to grandma Jeanie's to have hobo dinners and s'mores. It was a great relaxing Sunday. Hobo dinners are my favorite summer food.

The boys played with some poppers that Aunt Tasha had given them, they totally loved it.

A trip to grandmas is never complete without a good jump.

Today Hudson kept telling me to take our picture, and when I opened the camera he was posed so cute, but by the time I clicked to take a photo this had happened. That kid is always keeping me on my toes.

Busy busy

This week has already been so busy. On Tuesday I helped run the polls for the election here in Randolph. It was all day and even though it was a little slow at times, I had a great time seeing and visiting people I don't normally get to see.

Story time today was all about fire fighters. Hudson was so cute answering all the questions. He explained that if there is smoke you need to crawl, and he even demonstrated stop drop and roll. T was really cute. The boys really enjoyed it, and it made them feel so good to have their dad being a volunteer with the fire department. We are so proud!

Before I left for work we took some obviously needed selfies. The boys love using the camera on our phones.

While I was at work the boys had so much fun playing with their daddy and playing with some fun clay.

And the best part of today was getting to FaceTime with our favorite Mexican :) it was so good to catch up with Maria for a minute. My boys miss her so much, they loved talking to her.
Even though it's been a busy week it has been really good to stay busy and have things to do. But here is to a hopefully more relaxing rest of the week.

Weekend Fun

First stop for our weekend was our friends house in Salt Lake. Rachel and Cameron are our dear friends (Jayson and Cameron were mission companions) and we had so much fun catching up with them. Hudson and Jacob are the cutest little buddies, and I'm so grateful for our friendship with this sweet family.
Next up was Grandma Holly's and we had a blast there!
Hudson was so excited we got to go swimming in uncle Fernos pool and everything.

Our sweet nephew Lincoln was blessed on Sunday, and it was so good to go down and visit family we hasn't seen in awhile. Then today we headed to Jayson's post op appointment and got his stitches out and in a brace instead of the soft cast :) it has been a long weekend and I'm looking forward to sleeping in my bed tonight.

Almost the weekend

This is how I left the boys this morning when I went to a training for being a poll operator for the elections next week.

And this is how I found them when I came home. Colt had put on Jayson's glasses and taken pictures with my phone.

The boys played outside for awhile today, and they really enjoyed the sunshine after the last few cloudy and rainy days.

There is a summer reading program going on at the library, and Hudson is very serious about getting in the reading to get some fun prizes.
The boys were wrestling and having farting contests tonight before bed, I mean seriously!? Haha oh boys.

Grandpa Rick called this afternoon and asked if we wanted to help bottle feed some bum calves. The boys really loved it!

Helicopters never get old

This was the scene I saw as I left to go to work yesterday. I'm working at the Randolph store for awhile while Jayson is off for his recovery. It's been really fun getting to see people I don't always see and meeting new people. Even though we have lived in Randolph for 5 years I still feel like the new kid on the block. So it has been fun.

So potty training round two with this dude has been so much better than the first time I tried. He wants to do it, and has only had a few accidents in the last few days, it's been great!

And this was the scene when I got home. Jayson said they had played with their helicopters for 3 hours while I was gone, and then had spent the rest of the time fixing one that had flown into a wall. Those helicopters were totally worth the 25 bucks. I love that my boys are getting to have some special time with their daddy, even though I wish it was under different circumstances, we are making some lemonade from the lemons we got!
