Finally, A Surprise!! :)

So...First of all I would just like to tell everyone that I HATE surprises, and I usually do anything I can to find out what it is. I hate not knowing whats going to happen or not knowing whats coming next, so Jayson has had a real hard time surprising me. He did a great job at Christmas when he made me this beautiful coffee table and kept it a total secret. Even when it was hiding in our extra room! :) So this weekend I am in Grantsville with my parents and family. Jayson had to work so I wasn't expecting to see him until maybe Sunday morning or late afternoon. Last night at my little brother's baseball game we are setting up the lawn chairs and I look up, and there is Jayson!! I dropped my chair and thought, "can I honestly be seeing him!?" But sure enough it was him! And he had gotten ahold of my little sister to find out where the baseball game was and she did a great job not telling me! It was a great surprise and I'm glad I will be able to spend the weekend with my great hubs! Love ya baba!

A Good Day

Today was a great day. I was able to go to the Provo Temple with my mom, dad (who is home from Iraq for a few weeks), and my big bro. It was such an awesome experience. First, I was glad I was able to go with my dad while he is back for a little while. Second, I am so proud of my brother for being a strong priesthood holder and going on a mission. Third, this was my first time at the Provo Temple. It was fun driving by the MTC where I have been there to drop off my brother and a cousin (who is coming home from Hong Kong this month!). And I was thinking a lot about Jayson (he had to work this weekend) and how his mission has affected him. I know that his mission made him a stronger, more independant person. I also think it does that for a lot of people who go on missions, they are away from their mommy and learning how to deal with cooking and doing their own laundry, etc. But I also think that Jayson's testimony grew so much on his mission, and that he learned how to truly and whole heartedly serve The Lord. I love the fact that he returned with honor from the Mexico City South Mission (best mission ever!! hehe) and that there are so many people in Mexico I could thank in helping him become the man that he is today. I love hearing stories from his mission and seeing pictures. It was such an amazing experience for him, and I'm so grateful that he chose to do that. While we were in the Celestial Room today there was quite a few missionaries in our session. This one poor kid was sitting there just bawling, and it could have been for a number of different reasons. And my mom was joking around that he probably just missed his mommy and that she should go pat him on the back and say "son, it's time to get to work" :) But it made me think about how hard it is to leave your family and go to a foreign place (whether it is in the states or not). And how awesome it is that some decide to, as Jayson would say, GIT R DONE!! I am just so grateful for missionaries, because without the full time missionaries my dad would probably have never joined the church. So, I just wanted to send a little shout out to all the full time missionaries and say THANKS!! :) Hope everyone is having a good day!

Happy Birthday My SWEET SISTA!

DR. Appointment

So I went to the doctor on Tuesday and everything went really well! He said that the baby is doing great, and that the heart rate is totally normal at 163 bpm. It was so awesome to hear that little heart beat, I think it finally became real that we are having a baby! It is such a beautiful experience to hear that little beat, I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed us with this special little package! :) Well, thats pretty much all the update I have for now...but here are some pictures of the ultrasound.

Lunch with my BEST FRIEND

So today I was in Logan for my first doctor appointment, well really it wasn't with my doctor...it was just the nurse doing my blood work and completing my history...anyways. And I got to go out to lunch with my best friend Lyndsi who I worked with at Small Smiles. It was so good to see her! She is such a good friend, I miss being close to her!!! But now since I will be going to Logan a lot, we are planning on doing a monthly thing. :) YAY!! Just thought I would let Lynds know I love her!! :)

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!

So for my mom's 50th birthday we had a girls weekend in fabulous LAS VEGAS! It was so much fun! We stayed in my Aunt Linda's timeshare, soaked up the sun, hung out by the pool, went the wax museum, saw a magic show, ate some amazing food, did a little shopping, went to the top of the Eiffel tower at the Paris, Paris....and just had tons of fun hanging out! It was such a great weekend. I love my fam and I'm so excited I was able to go and have so much fun. Here are some pictures...

NEW VACUUM!!

Our good ol trusty $30 dollar vacuum from Walmart bit the dust awhile ago and Jayson and I have been searching for a new vacuum cleaner for a couple weeks. And I am very proud to say that we have found one! I got it last night and put it together today and I LOVE it! It has a side duster, and once your done dusting you flip a switch and the vacuum sucks all the dust off. It's great! It is probably so lame that I am getting so excited over a vacuum, but it was a big deal since we hadn't had one for awhile and I was getting sick of doing it with my little hand vac. I called my mom and was so excited to tell her we finally got one! :) And it is my favorite color, lime green!! I was so pumped to vacuum today. It was definitely a good day!

I hope everyone has a great and safe Easter weekend!

Time for another one...

Well I figured that I hadn't been on here for awhile and thought I would put a little update on here. Even though not much has been going on. Jayson got a new job at a pump supply company called "Rain for Rent" and he will be starting on Monday! :) Which is pretty exciting. He will get to travel a little bit, and we are both really thankful that this job came along and the opportunity it will be for our family.
I am still working in Evanston, but probably not for much longer. I have been super tired lately and when I asked for less hours they scheduled me for 46 hours instead of my normal 35. Weird, I know. But good news is that my sweet little lady I work with is back from the hospital. She was hospitalized almost 2 weeks ago and it was really lonely without her. She is such a sweet spirit and I really missed being around her.

Here we are just hanging out at home before she went to the hospital. She came back a little bit weaker, but she is such a strong lady and I'm praying that she will bounce back. She was only supposed to live a few hours and here she is at 66 (almost 67, her birthday is Sunday). We have such fun with her, she loves to tease and really is such a joy to be around.
Also, I have been feeling really great during the first 8 weeks anyways. :) I haven't really had any morning/evening/day sickness at all. Lucky me, and I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have any either. I just feel really tired and take a lot of naps and sleep in a lot. But lucky me I have such a wonderful husband who has really picked up the slack around the house and helped so much with laundry, dishes, etc. WOO HOO! Hopefully this won't last too long though.
And I'm really pumped because I am going to Vegas in only 14 days to celebrate my momma's big birthday!! Its an all girls trip to Vegas and I am excited to be in the warm weather hanging out with my aunts, grandma, mom, sisters, and cousins! It is definitely going to be a good time! Well, hope everyone has a great weekend!

Surprise!

Well family and friends....I am pregnant!! WOOHOO!! Jayson and I are really excited. I am about 7 weeks along, and my estimated due date is November 10, 2009. It was a little unexpected, but obviously Heavenly Father had a different plan for us. So, we will be gaining a new little somebody in the next year. Luckily I haven't been sick at all. I just get really tired lately, so I have been taking little naps here and there. But my job allows me a lot of downtime so I'm grateful I am still able to work a little bit. I am a little nervous about this whole ordeal, but luckily my sister is not only a great nurse, but a great sister and she has already helped me through a lot. Thanks Amber! Well, I just thought I would update everyone on that exciting news! Hope everyone is well!
